Ambleside Book Club (Ambleside)

Book club

We both love reading various genres and are hoping to find some liked minded people who would be interested in starting a book club with us. We were thinking of meeting once a month in a cafe/pub where we can talk about the book we chose to read, to choose the next months book, and to talk about anything else. If you love the idea we’d be happy to hear from you!

It’s extremely bingeable with the perfect amount of comedy within a dark story and just the right amount of spice

Emma (Ambleside)

Seeking a book club

I love most genres: contemporary, historical, magical realism, crime, romance, fantasy,... and would love to find other local people to meet up, chat books, life and to simply have a nice time together :)

Emma recommends:

Hex by Jenni Fagan

I loved the blend between historical and magical realism genres in this book and just think it is the most perfect and most touching short read I have read in the past year. It is a story about women's suffering in the witch hunt era, women supporting each other and love and friendship whilst being most brutally touching and thought-provoking.

I love reading and normally have several books on the go. I’d say that I mainly read literary fiction, and I love it when someone recommends a book that then becomes a favourite.
