Alternative Reading Group (Northwich)
Book club
We are an all-female group that has been around for 10 years now, with 11 members, most of whom have been here since the start. We have our own unique name to reflect the need for "me-time" from our members, prompting discussion with less obvious book choices. We used to be part of the Cheshire Libraries service, but have since branched out with books sourced from various places. Twice a year, we meet socially, either at each other's houses or at a pub. We also organize theatre visits whenever possible and are now looking into planning a group holiday to commemorate our decade together! We would love to link up with other reading groups to exchange ideas and books, since we have several sets of 11 books to distribute.
