Gav and Kate (Crewe)

Seeking a book club

We are a married couple, both (a very young) 50 and we both love books, and would like to join a book club to meet like minded people. We don't take life too seriously and like to have a laugh, but can similarly enjoy and dissect a good book.

I’ve always enjoyed reading I absolutely love a good thriller that has a good couple of twists to it. Some of my favourite authors are Claire Douglas, Freda McFadden, Adele parks and I enjoy the odd Harlan Coben (prefer to watch his). I do have my own spare room where I collect books im a bit sad and like to have books around me they seem to relax me.

Hiya, I'm a woman in her early - mid twenties and I really love books! I mainly love and read horror, but I'm usually more than happy to read anything. I'm just looking to meet some new people and be able to chat about different stories :).

This is my absolute favourite book I have read this year! The writing style is so beautiful and the story is just so perfectly constructed. I am such a fan of nautical horror and this book really caught me off guard with its direction and the way that it shows you the characters.

Griff (Northwich)

Seeking a book club

I am hoping to discover new books, explore different genres that maybe I wouldn’t usually read. As well as talk about books and authors that I love. I’d like to find a regular read and discuss group locally, or online if there isn’t anything near me. It would be nice if there was a social/friendly element to it too. As I am trying to expand my social connections alongside something I enjoy to do myself..

Griff recommends:

The darkly funny, first-person narration is a brilliant exploration of the unreliable narrator. Loaded with psychological nuance and explores memory and sanity.

David (Nantwich)

Seeking a book club

I’m friendly, open-minded, and enjoy good conversation. I like reading books that make me think, whether that’s fiction, thrillers, or something that helps me see life differently. I’m also keen to meet new people and try new things. I’m looking to join a book club because I’d enjoy sharing ideas, hearing different perspectives, and making reading a bit more social. It feels like a great way to connect with others, discover books I might not choose myself, and be part of something positive and interesting.

Silvia (Chester)

Seeking a book club

I’m interested in joining the reading group as I’ve always enjoyed reading, but over time I found myself with less opportunity to dedicate to it. As I’m now reducing my working hours, I’m keen to reconnect with that interest and make reading a more regular part of my routine again. I’d really value the chance to share perspectives, discover new books, and be part of a group that enjoys thoughtful discussion.
