Sandra (Altrincham)

Seeking a book club

Looking to get out there and try new things, whilst meeting new people! I probably want to keep it fairly fun and not too heavy. Although, I’d be open to trying new genres, that I wouldn’t normally go for (Classics). Maybe meet up fortnightly or monthly? Again I’m new to this, so open to suggestions 😊

grumbleshank (Runcorn)

Seeking a gaming group

I'm a BG3 player, and Dimension 20 watcher and I'm super excited to try to get into a few original-style games with a regular group! I've tried to join or put together groups before but it never held for more than two sessions - I'm hoping that if I find some people who REALLY want to play, that won't happen! Let's venture forth!

I am (33m) looking to get in DnD as a complete novice (never played) but would love to be a part of a one shot to gain some experience. I travel a lot for work so don't have the most regular schedule unfortunately. Would like to meet some nice people in the area and hopefully do more regularly!

White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky
White Nights

I believe White Nights captures the reality of love rather than the idealised notion of it. It delves into love as a multifaceted emotion—complex, often difficult to express, and deeply tied to vulnerability. The story portrays the yearning and torment experienced by those who are eager for love but constrained by circumstances or emotions. It reveals that love, in its truest form, is not just about joy and connection but also about the pain, trust, and sacrifice it demands. This raw and honest depiction is what makes the book so powerful and relatable.

Holly-Jayne (Runcorn)

Seeking a book club

Heyy, My name is Holly-Jayne, I'm 26 years old and I'd absolutely love to start a book club as I used to absolutely LOVE reading and was a huge bookworm when I was a kid, but after stopping for a while as a teenager I've been finding it really hard to pick up a book again and actually keep up with it, so I'd love to a get a little passionate and supportive group together to make some bookish friends so we can all motivate and inspire each other to keep reading and it would also just be really lovely to get to know other local bookworms and create long lasting relationships. I like pretty much anything like I'm not really picky on genres at all (except maybe horror) and I can meet up on Fridays or during the weekends but meetings could just be fortnightly or something, so please feel free to contact me if you're interested 💜
