Audrey (Ayr)

Seeking a book club

I love reading crime books and detective novels. I like to try and figure it out in my head as I go along. I’m a 59 yr old woman from Patna. I work full time ( from home) but can meet up evenings or weekends for a coffee and a chat about the next best crime thriller. I have mobility problems so need to beable to access wherever I go.

Retired nurse lecturer 8yrs ago. Like reading fictional crime - Alex Gray, James Patterson, Lee Child etc, nothing heavy. I’d like to hear others viewpoint on stories

Diane recommends:

Will Robbie series - 5 books

Each book can be read independently but the characters develop over the series. Good attention to detail and excitement making you want to keep reading. I typically read each book over 1-2 days

Lesley (Kilmarnock)

Seeking a book club

I am an author of adult fiction fantasy and my new book is about to be published. My book is inspired by Twilight by Stephanie Meyers but it is centred around a female vampire that moves to Scotland Glasgow and mixes in with the locals, encounters war and conflicts, then journeys up to the north through Loch Lomond and the Cairngorms to find love and romance. I love fiction fantasy and would like to share my experiences with other enthusiasts

Lesley recommends:

We read crime, comedy, the classics, dystopian adventure, science fiction, biographies, basically will try anything. Would love to join a club for book recommendations and chat about our love of books. I am 51 years of age and partially retired. I was a police officer for 25 years and now work part time as a clerk within the NHS. My daughter Sam is an art student and we live in Kilmarnock.

I'm a happy and cheerful person that might not know rules of a game at first but more than happy to learn and adapt. I am happy to try any boardgames and love DND. With being a Player and Dungeon Mastser in the past. But I just want people to have a generally good time overall.
