Viv S

Seeking a book club

I'm semi-retired 63 yo lady, living in a rural setting near Selby. I love reading crime, mystery and psychological thrillers (both classic and modern), but I'm open to any genre. I'd be interested in joining a book club in the Selby area, to discuss books of course, but also to meet people.

Twist after twist, and a genuine OMG moment. This is a real page turner, one you'll find very difficult to put down.

I love the way the book keeps you in suspense and has you trying to figure out what is going on as you are reading. It has some good twist along the way, things you do not see coming.

Caro

Seeking a book club

Hi, I am Caroline and I own the little coffee house in Selby, I am hoping to set up a book club meeting during the day. I was wondering if anyone would be interested? I have a function room upstairs which holds around 18 people but there isn't a lift I can read but haven't read a book in a long time.

Ellen

Seeking a book club

I’ve just started my masters in English and would love to be able to talk about books with other people. I like a range of books, but especially lighter fantasy and sci-fi (currently obsessed with The Murderbot Diaries), but I love learning new things through non-fiction too. Not a huge fan of romance specific novels but I can appreciate the genre from the outside, especially if it’s queer.

Great read for teens and adults alike. Feels like a JK Rowling novel and Roald Dahl tale rolled into one! World building and relationships between the kids and the new lands and adventures they have - Book Two on its way!

Seeking a book club

I have lived in Selby for 32 years. A man, sociable, widowed last year. University educated and work locally. I have always been a book person and recently had a career change. I would like to get back into books, mainly to give me some mental stimulation but also spend occasional times talking with others with the same interest.

Sally

Seeking a book club

I am interested in discussing a range of fiction with other readers. I often choose prize winning novels or long listed novels when not sure what to choose. It would be good to meet others with the common interest of reading fiction.
