Not actually a massive reader, but I'd like to more. I tend more towards non-fiction as I quite like learning about things. With fiction, I tend to go to fantasy and romance, though I'm a bit of a hit and miss when it comes to interest in them.

I love all things reading and frankly would quite like more bookish friends! I read almost exclusively fantasy and thriller, but would happily branch out! I recently really enjoyed Babel by RF Kuang and One Dark Window by Rachel Gellig!

Hi, I love lots of different genres of books and would really like to meet like minded people to make new friends and discuss books as I am recently medically retired. I am interested in weekly or monthly meetings. Thanks, Abi 😊

I loved this book so much. The action and tension was amazing and the connection between Violet and Xaden is just so beautiful.

Derwent VAlley Bridge Monthly Reading Group

Book club

Every month, about six to ten people come together for an hour at Derwent Valley Bridge to discuss a book they have read over the past month, and to get a new book for the following month. The books are typically fiction, though sometimes non-fiction works are chosen as well. The librarian used to be responsible for picking out and ordering the books, however after the council closed the Library it had to be re-opened as a volunteer-run community Library. Those interested in joining can find us at 3 Pickering Road, West Ayton, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO13 9JE. The Library is accepting new members. Tags: Reading Ahead, Visually Impaired.
