Amy

Seeking a book club

Hi! I'm 38, looking to join a book club with others who love to read and hang out :) I prefer horror, sci-fi, thriller, gonzo journalism, philosophy. I'm not a great fan of romance or fantasy, so romantasy is my idea of hell, quite frankly lol. If you'd like to help me set up a little book club in herefordshire then hit me up! I look forward to hearing from you.

It's an absolute mind-f*ck of a book with lots of metaphor and stories within stories. The layout is super interesting and extremely immersive.

Mark

Seeking a book club

Being a community care worker I sometimes find myself with a couple of hours to spare so decided to ditch my audiobook and buy an actual book, I didn’t realise how much I would actually enjoy reading a physical book. Looking for a like minded group to engage with and talk all things book related

Mark recommends:

I love how an ageing guy would decide to walk the Appalachian trail with his very unfit life long friend. Reading the words you find yourself imagining that you are there walking across vast countryside and battling a severe snowstorm

I am particularly drawn to Non Fiction probably as my imagination is poor -whereas I feel I can completely submerge into the real life of this book. I found out after from The Smoking Gun this was part Fictional 😐
