To get to know new people as i'm relatively new to the area, and to hear about good books. I'm particularly interested in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and desperate to find some people to discuss them with!

One of Sandersons best series, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves well written Epic Fantasy.

Rebecca C

Seeking a book club

I work a busy job and a nurse, I’m 35 and find reading as my comfort and downtime. I would like to join a book group / meet up to help socialise and meet others who enjoy the same hobby as me. I like fantasy, romance and thriller. Mostly reading romantasy at the moment.

I loved the mix of fantasy and romance, how the books grabbed your attention and really made you involved with the characters. Plus there is dragons with humour!

Chloe

Seeking a book club

Recently moved to the area and have been in a bit of a reading slump recently. Hoping to get back into it and hopefully make some new friends along the way. Lover of romance and fantasy but open to other fictional genres too!

Chloe recommends:

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

Could not put this one down after a slightly slow start with the first ACOTAR book. The slow burn mixed with the fantasy and action is something that surprised me as I wasn’t sure I was a lover of fantasy before.

This is the cutest book you will ever read. If you like ‘kick your feet’ sweet romance mixed in with plenty of giggles, you will love this.

I like most books, particularly non-friction or true event based books but I also enjoy fiction! Favourite book of 2024 was Malibu Rising.

Rabsreads

Seeking a book club

I’m Rabia. I’ve recently moved into the area (from Manchester) and I’m looking to join a book club. I’m an avid fiction reader and dabble in a bit of content creation too (TikTok and YouTube) all around books! I use Goodreads to track my reading (58 books so far!). I absolutely love reading and would love to be a part of a book club to discuss with like minded book lovers

I usually enjoy reading but am struggling to find the time to sit down and enjoy a book currently, so I am thinking that joining a book group might help give me some dedicated reading time! Big fiction reader, mostly fantasy but happy to branch out!

Seeking a book club

I am new(ish) to the area, and looking to meet people with similar interests to me. I love reading, a mix of fiction and non-fiction. Usually historical non-fiction, and fiction genres are varied, but I tend to stay away from horrors or psychological thrillers! Have missed being in a book club since I moved to the north east.
