I have just moved to a village near Loughborough. I love socialising and meeting with friends… but secretly I love nothing better than getting home and crawling into bed with a good book. Psychological / crime thrillers are my go to but I also love historical fiction, romantic comedy and a general good tear jerker. Having just moved to the area, my social life is somewhat lacking so my reading has ramped up. I’d love to combine the two… meeting like-minded people to discuss the books that we love and share recommendations. Hi there! I'm looking to join a local bookclub to meet new friends whilst doing something I love (reading!) I am a sucker for the classics, Jane Austen especially, and love re-visiting books from my childhood, (Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl etc) but I am also looking to broaden my horizons to more contemporary fiction. I would love to meet up with a group and get stuck in as much as possible!
