Tabletop Tuesdays
Gaming group
Chris Turner and Tim Hibbs are the major organisers of the friendly board games club that meets at the Loading Bar on Stoke Newington Road every Tuesday night. Beginners are welcome and will find an extensive library of 200 games, as well as the chance to bring their own. Delicious food and drinks are provided and no cover or hourly rates are necessary. Plus monthly Feature Games give participants a chance to win prizes. Special evenings hosted by game designers and publishers also offer prizes and the chance to try out new games before they hit the market. Situated near the London Overground network and a bus route, we welcome visitors to join us and stay up-to-date via Meetup.

Playtest UK Meetup group
Gaming group
We are a welcoming community of game designers and testers, active since 2010, that come together in London, Cambridge, Newcastle, Brighton, Cardiff, Leeds, Enfield, Bath, Norwich, Edinburgh and Reading to play games and test prototypes. Everyone is invited to join us and bring their own creations to try out, or just give their opinion. If game design is your thing, or you just like gaming and being creative, our group is the perfect place to get some great advice on what makes a game fun. We have monthly events happening in all the listed cities. For instance in London, we meet at The Jugged Hare on the 3rd Sunday and Monday nights of every month. We also have a daytime meeting in London, at the Royal Festival Hall, every Friday from 10.30am to 4.30pm. There is also a Geeklist with some great success stories of designs playtested in our group, that were subsequently published, or won awards at various competitions. To find out more, please visit www.meetup.com/playtest and www.playtest.co.uk.

Games at the Tavern
Gaming group
I recently discovered that the Ladywell Tavern has closed, so we are now seeking a new place to gather for our monthly gaming sessions. Our activities include Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Lord of the Rings, Perudo, Pit, Tichu, and more - with access to pizza too! We usually start at 7 pm and run until 12. Nothing is too structured, just look out for people with an impressive stack of boardgames if you arrive early.

EGG - Ealing Gaming Group
Gaming group
We are an intimate circle of friends from West London who have been getting together to play games since 2005, with roots running further back. Those part of the group have mutual ties from two notable places: the now-closed Ealing Games Workshop and And So it Begins. We have three to five people in each session and prefer board games designed by Knizia, but we also play fan favorites and some newer stuff too. You may have seen us before from the Isleworth Boardgamers or the West London Games Club. Our members include Alex, David, Drak, James, and Ric. Adam, Robo, Ross, and Paul have been known to drift into our posse as well.
