Howdy! I am a noob of role-playing games, my interest was sparked by binging Legend of Avantris, Critical Role and Fallout 2. I'm based in Acton, I want to get into tabletop playing games. My dad is a big player in Call of Cthulhu; I want to get closer to him by playing tabletop games and understanding his passion. I am open to DnD, Call of Cthulu and any tabletop games.

I have always had a fascination for books and literature. Unfortunately, I don't have many friends who read as much as I do. Therefore I'm looking to join a bookclub to share my thoughts and feelings about whatever book is being read!

Ashidmaa

Seeking a book club

Hi! I'm a structural engineer with a passion for learning and exploring new ideas. In my free time, I love reading across a variety of genres, from thrillers to non-fiction, and I’m always looking to expand my horizons with fresh book recommendations. I’m hoping to join a book group to connect with like-minded people, discuss different perspectives, and make some new friends along the way. I’d love to meet up once a month or so, to dive into different books and share our thoughts!

It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

The book is both humorous and heart-wrenching, with a message that encourages readers to appreciate life and to seek help when needed. It’s a powerful story that resonates with many, especially those who may be dealing with similar struggles. It’s also quite moving because, as you mentioned, the author, Ned Vizzini, tragically passed away after completing the book, which adds an additional layer of poignancy to the work.

It’s a really interesting look at family relationships and how people deal with their choices. The characters feel so real, and it’s the kind of book that makes you think about life in a different way.

The last, best book I read. A very interesting take on the classic that fills in the gaps and continues the story.
