We meet almost every Wednesday evening to play board games at the Shipwright's Arms near London Bridge station. Those not in London can do the same through a WhatsApp group. The pub serves food until 8 pm and drinks until late. People usually arrive around 6 pm, order food, play games, and then wrap up their evening between 9:30 and 10:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to join, just contact Pevans or post in the forums to get involved.

Our social board games group based in Colindale, in northwest London has been active since 2015 and our attendance fluctuates. We play a variety of games like Port Royal, Blood Rage, and Scythe on alternating Thursdays from 6 pm and Sundays from afternoon (or later in summertime to take advantage of the weather). Colindale on the Northern Line (zone 4) is the closest London Underground station with bus routes 204, 303, 32, and 142 being nearby as well. Chris Turner and Tim Hibbs are the major organisers of the friendly board games club that meets at the Loading Bar on Stoke Newington Road every Tuesday night. Beginners are welcome and will find an extensive library of 200 games, as well as the chance to bring their own. Delicious food and drinks are provided and no cover or hourly rates are necessary. Plus monthly Feature Games give participants a chance to win prizes. Special evenings hosted by game designers and publishers also offer prizes and the chance to try out new games before they hit the market. Situated near the London Overground network and a bus route, we welcome visitors to join us and stay up-to-date via Meetup.

We are a welcoming community of game designers and testers, active since 2010, that come together in London, Cambridge, Newcastle, Brighton, Cardiff, Leeds, Enfield, Bath, Norwich, Edinburgh and Reading to play games and test prototypes. Everyone is invited to join us and bring their own creations to try out, or just give their opinion. If game design is your thing, or you just like gaming and being creative, our group is the perfect place to get some great advice on what makes a game fun. We have monthly events happening in all the listed cities. For instance in London, we meet at The Jugged Hare on the 3rd Sunday and Monday nights of every month. We also have a daytime meeting in London, at the Royal Festival Hall, every Friday from 10.30am to 4.30pm. There is also a Geeklist with some great success stories of designs playtested in our group, that were subsequently published, or won awards at various competitions.
