Waman Ghosale

Seeking a book club

Seeker, working on process and exploring cycles in life—spiritually. Business intelligence analyst graduate. I love self-improvement books (like Atomic Habits by James Clear), as well as kingdom-building, political intrigue, wuxia, and novels with smart and respectful leads (like Joy of Life by Mao Ni, Dimensional Descent, The Beginning after the End). Looking forward to meeting up, discussing books, and making friends.

Karma

It is a good, multiple-time read that can help link our experiences with the author's insights, leading to a realization of concepts of consciousness. With each iteration, we can realize new things.

yes i know it’s so over shared but god damn is it good. A day doesn’t go by i don’t dream of Millers wringing or the character of this book.
The seven husbands Of evelyn Hugo
by Taylor Jenkins Reid | Learn more and buy
I loved this one so much i really appreciated that the relationship was a little messy but you could see just how enamoured evelyn was. The polt was unexpectedly good. Overall great book.

Seeking a book club

(18) I enjoy reading a diverse range of genres but I have a natural tendency towards the classics, literary fiction, dystopian, science fiction, romance, and contemporary. I'm looking to make friends with people who love honest conversation and perhaps meet once or twice per month to discuss books together and drink coffee :)

Ally recommends:

I know it's not exactly what you'd call "niche", but there's a reason why it's widely acclaimed to be the best English romance novel of all time (and also one of my favourite novels of all time).

Seeking a gaming group

I am a DM who wants to know if anyone is interested in a new group in person group in Leicester. I have been a DMing for 20 years and would be happy with any mix of new or seasoned players. I run an open and understanding table. This means anyone on any spectrum of age, gender, sexuality and belief. I usually run in D&D, but happy to chat with anyone who has concerns or red flags. I have built a shed at the bottom of my garden for gaming, so venue is not an issue and we can discuss systems. I live between Leicester and Loughborough.

Kalvin

Seeking a book club

Hi! My name is Kalvin and I'm 24 years old! For the longest time I never really got into the idea of reading. For me the more engaging and stimulating stuff was things visual happening in front of me! Things such as movies and games. However some time has passed and I'm a little older and perhaps a little wiser, so I decided to purchase a couple of books to read on a trip. Flowers for Algernon, as well as, the perks of being a wallflower.......and I'm in awe in just how a good book can make me feel such emotions. I'm currently in the middle of the perks of being a wallflower, after finishing flowers for Algernon in 2 days! This as sort of ignited a desire to speak to other people, hopefully around my age, about books and speak about what they mean to us, what we thought of them, and essentially connect with others! I'm hoping to find a book club in Leicester I can attend that is welcoming and has a few people close to my age, so I can relate with them a little more! I do want to embrace this new found joy, and hopefully that also means I can read more books that really have me in my feels! I'm also unsure if we can chat to others on this site, but if we can please don't hesitate to contact me! It would be nice to hear from others and maybe find a club together too! Thank you for reading my ramble!

Where do I even begin :') This book is just so wonderful, in all the sad but good sad ways. Like the "I'm sad but I'm really glad I read this" way! It made me sit down after finishing it and stare at a wall for a bit just thinking about it. I spoke to others online about their experiences with it, and many others who read the book years ago still say they can't forget about this story and everything that happens. It's beautiful yet painful. Many people in my life would never really think I'm an emotional guy, and perhaps I do come across that way too. A little bit stoic. But this book really pulled my heart and made me feel vulnerable. I couldn't recommend this more!

Victoria

Seeking a book club

Hi! I’m 22 years old and I moved to Leicester recently, so I’m looking for a book club or some like minded bookish friends to read with. :) I love horror, thrillers, dystopian, and I’m also trying to branch out more into sci fi, fantasy and graphic novels/manga. I’m also a lesbian so I love reading books with great LGBTQ+ representation! I live with my bestie who is also in the LGBT community and loves reading similar genres to me, it would be great if we could form some type of group! I enjoy book suggestions and recommendations and am open to reading a wide variety of genres. Feel free to contact me if my profile interests you! <3

Seeking a book club

I'm a teenager in leicester and I really want to join a club of some sort that isn't sport related. So I figured a book club would be a good idea because I love to read and I get through quite a few books per month! But I haven't been able to find any book clubs near me for my age group. If anyone knows of any book clubs I could join then that would be amazing. I read pretty much every genre of books except horror or thriller and I particularly like fantasy books like harry potter or Lord of the rings. Again, if you know of a book club I could join then I'd love to know about it.
