Seeking a gaming group

Do you need someone to play an obscure TTRPG with? Me too. I'm also looking for games of dnd, lancer, cyberpunk, or pathfinder -- anything from long-term narrative campaigns, to light-hearted 1-pagers, to mechanically dense RPGs. Let me know if you have space for an extra player.

Seeking a book club

I love to read though must confess to sticking with the same authors and genres. I'd really like to be challenged by fellow readers to try out recommendations from alternative authors and/or genres. Currently reading the "Gabriel Allon" series of books by Daniel Silva. Lee Child, Michael Connelly and David Baldacci have been other authors I have enjoyed with the occasional PG Wodehouse "Jeeves and Wooster" book thrown in for a laugh! It would be lovely to be part of a "face-to-face" group, perhaps meeting in a local coffee shop or other public venue.

Seeking a book club

When I finish yet another amazing book I always want to share the moment. I love being sociable but I want to join a group that love reading and socialising. I don’t stick to a set genre of reads, diversity is prescribed by time and location.

It flips backwards and forwards in time, characters and is a story woven around two majestic rivers.

Hiya! I'm a not-so-big reader with a 2025 resolution to get back into reading! I'm looking to make some book friends I can chat about latest reads with and form a book club! I love reading fiction and non-fiction, from a lot of genres! My latest reads are Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurty (In a bit of a cowboy kick at the moment) and Written in Bone by Sue Black!

The Wit

Seeking a book club

Hi there! I’m an introverted and neurodivergent reader who’s new to the area. I’ve been reading fiction for a few years now, with a particular love for epic and dark fantasy. Just looking to connect with like-minded people here, and maybe join a book club where we can socialise and dive into deep discussions about our favourite books.

It’s like looking through a window into a whole new universe. The world building is amazing with no typical heroes and villains, instead it is full of complex and grey characters. The politics, warfare and philosophy, it has got all of it and the depth of writing style is just fantastic.

Tom

Seeking a book club

Looking to make friends with fellow book-lovers and start a book club in High Wycombe, Amersham or elsewhere in the area – perhaps socialising around whatever we're reading rather than picking a certain book each month. I like to read all sorts of fiction and non-fiction, including classic sci-fi, contemporary novels, politics and music history, and usually have at least two books on the go! I'm 30 and write for a living :)

Reading between the Wines

Book club

Our Book Club, ‘Reading between the Wines’, is looking to grow. We are a new group, and we plan to meet monthly in coffee shops, pubs or each other's home. Our members are located in High Wycombe and Tyler’s Green/Penn. We like to keep an open mind about what we read, though we all gravitate towards fiction, thrillers in particular. Our last read was ‘Butter’ by Asako Yuzuki, and our next read is ‘The Bee Sting’ by Paul Murray. We are looking forward to reading more of the books we love as well as books out of our comfort zone as we expand our group. Please get in touch...
