Seeking a book club

I'm in my late-twenties and looking to join a fun, local face to face group for people my age or similar to meet new people and some get some new recommended reads. I love all kinds of fiction - thriller, romance, crime, historical.

Angela

Seeking a book club

(Actually located in Beaconsfield) Hi, I'm an avid reader and aspiring writer in my late 20's, looking for some like-minded people to connect with. I have a degree in organisational psychology and currently in progress with Philosophy. As a result, I love the escapism of fantasy/fiction and my favourite genres are fantasy, romance, historical fiction and magical realism. My favourite authors are Sarah J Maas, Haruki Murakami, Isabel Allende, Rebecca Yarros, Emily Henry, Clarissa Broadbent and more!

David

Seeking a book club

My name is David. I am an author and have written my first book, Loose Ends, which was published in October. I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but I'm not looking to join a Book Club, I am looking to get in touch with book clubs so that I can introduce them to my book. I have done a presentation on 'My Writing Journey' in which I discuss how I came to write my book. I could also do a presentation on my experiences of writing my book and promoting it. This could be of interest to aspiring authors. If it is, please contact me by e-mail.

David recommends:

Loose Ends by David Liston

It's a great page turner, with many twists and turns and not without humour. The background is corruption in the financial world, involving hedge funds, drug cartels and money laundering with some murders thrown in for good measure.

East London D&D

Gaming group

We are an East London-based meetup group that hosts Dungeons & Dragons, both online and in-person. If you are already experienced with the game or are new to it, we would be delighted to get you into a game! Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic we have adopted a combination of both Discord and Roll20 for our gaming. But when the situation becomes more manageable, we will be returning to doing our events in-person. The campaigns and one-shots will mainly be played in D&D 5e, but other variations are welcome. We use Discord to coordinate our members, so to get involved please sign up using the link provided. Upcoming events and past events can also be found via our Discord page, and we have 149 members ready to join you on your adventure.
