Amy (Haverfordwest)

Seeking a book club

Just moved to Haverfordwest from Northern Ireland, one of the founders of that’s what she read book club in Northern Ireland and beyond lonely here. I don’t know anyone. I would love to join or even form a book club but when you know no one it’s very difficult. Fave genres are fantasy, romance and dark romance but honestly I’d read anything

Claire (Haverfordwest)

Seeking a book club

Hi there. Myself and a friend Sue were looking for a book club in Haverfordwest. When we couldn't find one we thought we'd give it a go ourselves! We have arranged an initial informal get together for anyone interested on Friday 10 April between 2pm and 4pm, Corner Meeting Room, HaverHub, 12 Quay Street. The aim is to meet others and talk through how this might work going forward. There is a charge for using this space so if you can make a contribution on the day that would be very welcome. Kind regards.

If you like slow-burn romance and found family, I can’t recommend Binding 13 enough. I loved the characters so much — just make sure to check trigger warnings first

Kiera (Narberth)

Seeking a book club

Hi! I’m joining because I love books but don’t read as often as I’d like, mainly because I don’t have many people around me to swap recommendations with. I’d really love to read more and hopefully make some friends through the club. My taste is pretty versatile — from Shakespeare and classic novels like Of Mice and Men and To Kill a Mockingbird, to more modern reads such as Atomic Habits and some Harlan Coben.

Kiera recommends:

Wrong place Wrong time by Gillian McAllister

Honestly an incredible book. Thrilling and I couldn’t put it down. This is the best book I have ever read and I was addicted. I don’t read often at all and picked this book spontaneously, one of the best decisions i’ve ever made and I will never forget this book
Othello by William Shakespeare

a beautifully complex book. I don’t read often and my taste is widespread but this book captivated me. The words used and depth to it made this a brilliant read. I couldn’t put it down
