Fantasyjunkie265 (Didcot)

Seeking a book club

Hi! I’m Kirsty and I’m looking to join a book club, ideally with a strong love for fantasy. I’m always up for discovering new worlds, swapping recommendations, and talking far too much about books once I’m hooked. I’d also love to meet new people in the area and make some genuine friendships along the way. If you enjoy fantasy reads and good conversation, I’m in. If there isn’t a book group in Didcot for this, happy to make one with others!

Fantasyjunkie265 recommends:

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini
The Inheritance Cycle

The Inheritance Cycle is one of those series I keep coming back to. It starts with someone ordinary being thrown into something much bigger than themselves, and you get to watch them grow through mistakes, responsibility, and impossible choices. There’s dragons, magic, battles, and real stakes, but also quieter moments about morals, honour, love, and loss. Even the enemy feels understandable, which somehow makes it hit harder. It’s comforting and exciting at the same time — like there’s a bit of everything in there.

I'd like to join a book club to meet new people and read books that I wouldn't have otherwise chosen. I'm flexible with genres, although my favorite books are those that make me think.

Elliott (Oxford)

Seeking a book club

I love reading a read a lot, all genres fiction and non fiction, but have never really discussed books in earnest. I would very much like to join or start a book club, meeting monthly on a weekday evening somewhere in or around Oxford (I'm in Wootton Village just outside Oxford). I would describe my desired group as essentially casual, small and friendly, with a genuine interest and effort at reading and discussing a new book each month.

TBC Witney book club (Witney)

Book club

Looking to gauge interest in a regular, in-person book club in Witney! I've not run a club before but am really keen to try get something going in the new year. No specific theme, but ideally it would expose people (myself included) to books and genres they don't normally try! If interested, please get in touch! Daniel
