book wrapt (Kettering)
Book club
book wrapt isn't like any book club you've probably tried before - or talked yourself out of trying. There's no set book. No homework. No sitting in a circle feeling like you didn't do the reading. It's three genuinely brilliant women - Liz, Vicky and Larrinae - who got tired of waiting for someone to create the kind of literary experience they actually wanted, so they built it themselves. What they've made is something that feels more like a really good night out with people who love books than anything stuffy or academic. Think cosy venues, great food, proper wine, and the kind of conversation that goes on longer than it should and leaves you with a reading list three times longer than when you arrived. The monthly book club - Chapters at The Charter - is just £2 and runs on the first Wednesday of every month at The Charter Inn in Rothwell. You bring whatever you're reading, whatever you've loved, whatever you abandoned halfway through and couldn't finish. You swap recommendations, find new authors, and leave feeling genuinely connected to people who get it. Then there are the bigger events - a summer BBQ with a bestselling author in a beautiful Northamptonshire setting, a Christmas Jólabókaflód celebration, intimate literary afternoons. Each one is thoughtfully put together, properly fed and watered, and feels like something worth getting dressed up for. If you've ever finished a book and desperately wanted someone to talk to about it - this is your people.

Adina (Northampton)
Seeking a book club
Hi, I’m Adina. I enjoy books that pull you in and stay with you - whether that’s fiction, psychological reads, or something beautifully written. I’d love to join a group where conversations flow easily, ideas are shared, and it’s as much about connection as it is about the books. Also always open to recommendations!
