Kentendo64 (Newport)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi, I'm Kenny (38, based in Newport Wales, UK) and looking to join an online D&D group as a player. I’m fairly new to the game and keen to get some playtime under my belt before DMing my own sessions in person with friends. I’m available most weekdays between 6–11pm UK time and can do occasional weekends if free.

Raine (Abergavenny)

Seeking a book club

Hi! I'm Raine and I'm 19 years old. I'm looking to join a book club to get more recommendations of books. I don't know how I would describe my favourite genre but I am into classic Russian literature from authors such as Dostoyevsky and Tolstoy. I am also looking to go into publishing in the future to hopefully become an editor!

This is one of my favourite books! I love the hint to anti-existentialism and I really think it shows the flaws in societal convictions. It also demonstrates the imbalance of power between two beings and how it changes perspective of persecutors and victims

Amber (Newport)

Seeking a book club

hello! I'm not as much of a reader as I would like to be, but trying to get back into it. I am into psychological fiction and detective stories, but happy to read almost anything. Currently working through the Sherlock Holmes books and really enjoying them. Would love to meet and get to know some new people, and join a book club to get me back into books! 24 y/o, based in Newport

Amber recommends:

Love anything with a group of misfits, and weird interpersonal relationships. The characters are intentionally unlikeable but not to the point of annoyance. Its quite dark but not written in a way that feels to edgy or over-dramatic. Really great read!

Seeking a book club

I've come back to reading following a hiatus in which I was focusing on studying and my career. I'm in my 30s and looking to meet new people in the area, as I am somewhat new to Newport. I'm currently reading the Game of Thrones saga. Favourite book is probably Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

Brilliantly written! The right edge of science, emotion and humour. Highly recommend the audible version too.
