Hi, I’m Nic! I don’t read as much as I’d like, but I’m excited to join a book club to push myself, explore different perspectives, and make some new friends. I’m open to all kinds of books (nothing too niche!) and love thoughtful, respectful discussions. A relaxed group meeting maybe once a month, earlier in the day, would be perfect for me—just to see how it goes. Looking forward to connecting and discovering some great reads together!

Hi, I am interested in joining a friendly book club. I have not been in a book club before, so not really sure what I might get from or bring to it. I like contemporary books. Mixed genres , authors I read include, Margaret Atwood, Simon Kernick, Sue Townsend, Richard Osmond, Tom Holt, Clare Mackintosh and I have just been rereading some Daphne Du Maurier...So a mix of quirky, psycological, thrillers sci-fi and funny.

Hello! I work as a bookseller at Insight in Penryn, a 'What it means to be human' bookshop. I am looking to connect with our book lovers, to discuss books and gather ideas for future book clubs. My main motivation is the social aspect, I LOVE talking about books, art, film etc. so I'd like to join a book club to meet new people and to have a bloody good chat about what we've read over a glass of wine. For escapism, I like the kind of stuff they talk about on Sara Cox's Between The Covers. For mind-expansion, I also like non-fiction books on pre-history, history, science, women's health, feminism, psychology, art history & poetry. I'm open to having a go at starting a book club with others too. Penryn is ideal, could do Falmouth.
