Mollie (Penzance)

Seeking a book club

hi! i'm 16 and always looking for my next favourite book. once i'm invested in a story, i could genuinely talk about it for hours, especially if there's a good plot twist involved. i'd love to discover new reads, share recommendations and hear everyone's thoughts and theories โ™ก currently obsessed with fantasy, murder mysteries, psychological thrillers and books that leave me questioning everything afterwards. always up for a good plot twist or a slow-burn romance!

I am a widow and also live in Pool. I enjoy wide selection of books which includes Ken Follett, JK Rowling, Ruth Jones. I recently read a book titled, The Names which is unlike anything I have read before and it is a Sunday Times best seller. I am currently reading A particularly nasty case by Adam Kay. It's very funny.

Tiger (Liskeard)

Seeking a gaming group

I'm in my late 20s, M, and have an extensive history with ttrpgs, including owning many core rulebooks for different systems and playing probably around 20-30 different ttrpgs. I also have an extensive board game collection. Just a little lonely and bored to be honest, I don't drive so getting around is a pain in the ass for me, but I am learning (it's spenny and I'm not fortunate enough to have parents who'll help me)

hooked_onbooks (Truro)

Seeking a book club

I am looking for some friends to have fun talking to about books. I love romantasy and murder mysteries, while occasionally enjoying a classic like Little Woman by Louise May Alcott or Jane Eyre by Jane Austen. I love reading and read about 3 books a week.

It has a political plot with a romance subplot. It has you raring to flip to the next page, desperate to see what's next and what Jude has gotten herself into this time. It shows the dangers of ambition and shows the effect of bullying on people. The book has themes of redemption and betrayal.

Matilda (Helston)

Seeking a book club

Hi, my name is Matilda. I've just moved back to Cornwall after uni. I enjoy walks, crocheting, knitting, running and baking. My favorite authors are Daphne du Maurier, Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. I love classic literature however I'm not a snob- I will happily read any well written novel with a good plot! I'd also love to join groups to read a more diverse selection of literature- beyond the classica perhaps.

LadyJade (Redruth)

Seeking a book club

I've been an avid reader since childhood, and probably read 3 or 4 books a week. I love crime/psychological thrillers, historical thrillers, and suspenseful novels, but I'll happily read absolutely anything! I've recently discovered a new favourite author, V. E. Schwab, and through her found I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy, which I previously hadn't really read. I now wish to join a local book club, where we can chat and discuss what we read, as well as get to know new people and devour new books! I live in Pool and don't drive so a weekly, monthly or fortnightly group within walking distance would be great for me. If no groups likthis exist and anyone reading this would like to create one, or even start an online one, I'd be happy to help get the ball rolling!

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
by V. E. Schwab | Learn more and buy
This is an incredibly well written book and the characters are so real, you feel you know them. Part fantasy, bits of romance, with mystery and suspense as well as historical settings, this novel can't be boxed into one particular genre, and is a book everyone could enjoy no matter their reading preferences.
