Chloe (Dunstable)

Seeking a book club

I’m 26, a first time mum and I read all genres of books and especially love all kinds of romance books, even the dark ones lol. There is not one genre of books that I don’t own or read, I like to change it up so I don’t get into slumps. Would love to find a book club to meet people with similar interests and just have someone to chat books with!

Ndidi (Bedford)

Seeking a book club

I've started a book club called the Reading Nooks and Great Books Literary Club (think the Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society) where we tackle some of the world's greatest novels over lively discussion. The group is open to both new and seasoned readers of world classics. The main aim is to share our love for literature and the ways it has expanded our worldview. In doing so, we hope to echo Francis Bacon's idea of the good life: "old wood best to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read." πŸ“šπŸŒΌπŸŒ»πŸ“œ You can find the group on Meetup!

Ndidi recommends:

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

I read this over the summer last year and it was such an exciting read! It's got a little bit of everything for everyone: adventure, drama, romance, suspense and of course there are themes of love, forgiveness and kindness there. Such an engaging read, would highly recommend if you'd like to feel like a 12 year old again (in a good way)

Josie (Bedford)

Seeking a book club

Hello! πŸ‘‹ I’m Josie, in my 20s, based near Shefford and love reading romance, crime/thrillers, and self-improvement books, though I’m open to all genres! I’d love to join a book club to meet new people and share great reads. Let me know if there’s a group I can join, or feel free to drop me a message if you’d like to chat about books in person over a cup of tea! 😊

Alfie (Luton)

Seeking a gaming group

Hi there, I've been looking into getting into DnD for a while, I own a few 5e books and have read the phb cover to cover so I think I have a decent understanding of the rules. I would love to join a group and have a few character ideas so am happy to play wherever class gels well with the table.

Seeking a book club

Looking to make new friends with similar interests! My favourite genre is poetry, but I have delved in other genres over the years so will give anything a read so long as it seems promising. I’ve been writing and reading since I was in primary so it’s all a very deep passion of mine :)

I enjoy reading all types of fictional books and have fond memories of doing so growing up. I am trying to get back into reading regularly so I wanted to join a book club to get recommendations from other bookworms and share our thoughts and opinions on the books.

Basically a beginner, only played bg3 so I’m familiar with very basic elements. Keen to be a player in any adventure. Bard and Monk are my favourite but I’ll play anything really.
