Annie (Bradford)

Seeking a book club

Hi, I’ve loved reading since my preteens and tend to be drawn to books with a bit of depth, stories that make you think and stay with you. I’m a mum of two young kids, so life’s pretty busy right now but I still really value the time I get to read. I moved to Bradford a few years ago and would love to meet and socialise with other book lovers.

Rabia (Bradford)

Seeking a book club

Hii my name is Rabia and I’m 18. I love to read classics and I love playing chess. I love building healthy friendships with people and I’ve always been involved with theatre and the arts - I’ve had to stop after leaving secondary which left me to being less social and having bad mental health as I was forced to study something that is considered more “serious” I am from Bradford and I’m not sure if anyone here wants to get to know and share this hobby??

BookishBaker (Keighley)

Seeking a book club

I’m a fantasy-romance devotee with a soft spot for powerful heroines, morally complex love interests and worlds that feel deliciously dangerous, happiest when I’m lost in the pages of Callie Hart, Rebecca Yarros or Sarah J. Maas. I love high stakes, slow burns, found family dynamics and that goosebump moment when the underestimated girl realises she’s unstoppable. When I’m not reading, I’m usually in the kitchen turning flour, butter and sugar into pure comfort, and I firmly believe every good book discussion should come with brownies. I’d love to find a book club where I can gush over plot twists, debate fictional men with dramatic seriousness, dive into world-building and character arcs, and connect with fellow romantasy lovers who want to share stories, laughter and maybe a slice of cake along the way.

Sarah (Huddersfield)

Seeking a book club

I am 27. I mainly read fantasy and romance, and of course fantasy romance. But I am open to reading anything, especially any books written by women. I want to make friends who have interesting takes and don’t mind debating.

Alex (Wetherby)

Seeking a book club

I am looking to meet new people who share my interest in philosophy and psychology. I read mostly non-fiction, but I also like to read fiction. I am planning on reading the new Philip Pullman series and the Brothers Karamazov next. I’m hoping this will be beneficial for my exploration of the philosophy of religion.

Peter (Wakefield)

I'm Peter, I love a good suspense thriller or a good crime drama. I've just recently started getting back into reading again and have an obsession with Harlan Coben novels but can read anything that has a good plot.

by Dean Koontz | Learn more and buy
Frank Pollard awakens in an alley, knowing nothing but his name and that he is in danger. Over the next few days he develops a fear of sleep because when he wakes he finds blood on his hands and bizarre and terrifying objects in his pockets. Distraught and desperate, Frank begs husband-and wife detective team Bobby and Julie Dakota to get to the bottom of his mysterious, amnesiac fugues. It seems a simple job, but they are drawn into ever-darkening realms where they encounter the nightmare, hate-filled figure stalking Frank. And their lives are threatened, as is that of Julie's gentle, Down's-syndrome brother, Thomas. To Thomas, death is the 'bad place' from which there is no return. But as each of them ultimately learns, there are equally bad places in the world of the living, places so steeped in evil that, in contrast,Death seems to be almost a relief

stevielow (Leeds)

Seeking a book club

I’m a 25 year old female in the Leeds area, and hoping to meet new people and be more social. I’ve always had a passion for books. Reading is my peace, I love a proper paperback in my hands but don’t read online/kindle. I especially enjoy series where you can follow the characters throughout. My favourite authors include Freida McFadden, Karin Slaughter, James Patterson and LJ Ross.
