Seeking a book club

I used to read so many books but that has fallen by the wayside and I want to get away from my screen and dive into the latest novels. I would like to join a book club that meets frequently (preferably in person rather than online - trying to get away from that ;)) Whether it's an existing book club open to new members or maybe a few people in the area searching for a group and wanting to create one, please send me a message.

Seeking a book club

I am an (early retired) teacher. I now work sporadically on short- term educational contracts for a number of companies, mainly from Feb to June, in term-time. From late June to February I have little to no work and can feel quite lonely, so I would love to meet ike- minded people who love reading. I especially enjoy reading psychological thrillers and crime novels, although I also particularly enjoy Anne Tyler and Douglas Kennedy's novels, and I am always keen to try new authors.

Natasha P (Brentford)

Seeking a book club

Hello I’ve always loved reading ever since I can remember. I enjoy I diverse range of fiction and also read non fiction. I would love to join a book club as it will open my horizon to books I may never have normally considered. I have only just moved to Brentford from Dorset so I don’t know anyone yet and it would be great to also enjoy the social aspect of a book club and having outlet to be able to discuss different books with other people who also love reading!

This is a book everyone should read. The themes of the book are amazing and I love the gothicness, overall it is beautifully written and although I read it for the first time 20 years ago, it has stayed with me ever since and I have read it time and again over the years

Seeking a book club

Hi, I'm a reading enthusiast and love reading thrilling novels and short stories. In my college days, I also wrote a whole fantasy heroic story, but never published it. To restart my reading gig, I wish to join a book club to give myself a nudge to set a proper me time.

I retired very recently. I taught GCSE English and love literature and reading. Would be great to share ideas and opinions about a shared novel. Interested in science fiction and tales from the Indian subcontinent but just like a novel that hooks you from the beginning.

Hi. I’m Simon, I’ve been retired for a while now. I find that without the daily commute I’ve got out of the habit of reading, and I’d like to get back into it. I’m open to any type of book club, and having a good conversation.
