William Knight (Lincoln)

Seeking a book club

Iโ€™m interested in joining so it will nicely force me to read and open my horizons to new books that I properly wont think to read. I know the worlds of books is a fascinating place to be but being dyslexic I use it as an excuse to put it at the bottom.

Nick (Grantham)

Seeking a book club

I absolutely love reading and my style is crime and psychological thrillers with twists that keeps me guessing whodunit. We can start a book club and invite other to join in. As long as there's no romantic Mills and Boons on the program :-). I am not one for small talk and having a lot of opinion to express like to hear what others also think and discuss my or their interpretation. Let me know if you're interested and we can take it from there. Thank you

Amyy (Lincoln)

Seeking a book club

Reading took a bit of a back seat when children, bills, jobs etc took over, but been back to it for a couple of years now! I'm happy to read just about anything. I love a thriller or mystery novel, but happy to give just about anything a try!

Maria (Boston)

Seeking a gaming group

New to tabletop RPGs but have wanted to get into them for a while, Iโ€™m most interested in groups that lean toward a roleplay-heavy style with a focus on storytelling and character interaction. Iโ€™m based in the Boston/Sleaford area (Lincolnshire, UK) and would love to find a welcoming, beginner-friendly community thatโ€™s patient with new players. Iโ€™m open to learning different systems, happy to start simple. I would most enjoy relaxed, creative games with good stories and character moments. Any recommendations or group invites would be very welcome!

Ben (Lincoln)

Seeking a book club

Hey all! Pretty new to reading again, working on stopping my doom scrolling but finding I'd like to discuss parts of books with people and I don't know anyone else who reads. My recent reads have been fantasy (Pretty much anything at this point) or non-fiction (Love learning about the war, dinosaurs, space - anything). Hoping I can pick a book that 1 or a few others are reading at the same time we can discuss and chat about.

Robert (Lincoln)

Seeking a book club

I work at the University of Lincoln as Research Associate. I do research and writing on topics relating to sociology and psychology. I want to build a community of people who are interested in understanding human behaviour towards creating a more empathetic and peaceful world. Non-fiction academic reading is part of my day job, but I also read non-fiction outside of work. I want to read readings (e.g. single chapters or other short pieces) with people that challenges our culture of violence and educates for peace! As Malala Yousafzai aptly noted, "If you want to end the war then instead of sending guns, send books.โ€
