I've played D&D for over a year now with one DM, as well as several one shots a member of the group led, and even run one myself. I'm not an actor with my characters, at least, I'm not going to be cosplaying, or doing a voice (probably), I will be trying to match their use of language. For combat, I do try to do a bit more description than "I attack X". I am definitely an explorer. I want to look everywhere, check behind every door (swarms of endless insects) and find all the loot. Fighter... I enjoy a bit of combat, but I like it to be plot relevant if it's a big fight. Pack of wolves as a roadbump, don't want them to be too big of a deal. Big boss right? give me some stakes to it, that's exciting, but I am in no way an optimizer. Instigator, nope, I'm a planner. Afraid it comes with my anxiety, I plan everything to my detriment. If you are a bit of an instigator and your character is, I will work to hold no grudges. (If anything, i appreciate someone to kick me out of a deadlock.) Definitely a problem solver. I enjoy a puzzle. Storyteller. I am definitely invested in a good story, trying to work out where a plot might be going, but also wanting to write my character's story of growth and change.

Hey, I'm a 29 y/o guy fairly new to DND as a player. I have consumed quite a bit of related content though, and am interested in several settings from other publishers including Drakkenheim and grimhollow from Ghostfire gaming.

Generally lean towards sci-fi/fantasy but enjoy almost all genres and happy to read anything new. I like the idea of meeting up monthly or so to discuss the book in a cafe or pub

Iβm a newbie DM and player. Iβve played one one-shot with my wife and weβre in the middle of Dragon of Icespire Peak with our adult kids. Iβm most interested in finding a game of mid adult, longer term (weekly or monthly). Iβm open to online but in person would be great
